Influenza Update: Hospital Admissions Double During post-Thanksgiving Week

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Rochelle Walensky on Monday said during a telebriefing that new admissions to the nation's hospitals doubled in the week following Thanksgiving with the increase most notable among adults aged ≥70 years.
In another sign that the 2022-2023 influenza season is off to a sobering start GoodRx reports that prescription fills for the antiviral medication Tamiflu and oseltamivir, its generic, are up by 100% over this time last year.
