A quick look at the states ranking highest and lowest on metrics including influenza vaccination, tetanus vaccination, HPV vaccination, and more.

Vaccination remains a cornerstone of preventive medicine, yet uptake varies widely across the US. A recent analysis from WalletHub of the most and least vaccinated states offers a snapshot of where public health efforts are succeeding—and where gaps persist. Drawing on data from the CDC, Census Bureau, and other sources, a panel of experts assessed the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 16 metrics including adult and child influenza vaccination rate, share of children with up-to-date HPV vaccination, and herpes zoster vaccination rate among older adults.
