How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 17, 2020 at 9:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 6 632 689 confirmed cases
• 196 842 deaths
• 2 525 573 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 772 188
2. Texas: 696 807
3. Florida: 671 201
4. New York: 446 366
5. Georgia: 299 056

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 042 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 16 054 deaths, and California with 14 739.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 590 837 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 167 257 recoveries and Tennessee with 160 202.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 13 000 522 people tested, followed by New York with 9 530 416 people tested, and Texas with 5 299 620 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 29 910 816 confirmed cases, 941 541 deaths, and 20 340 500 recoveries.
