How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, December 22, 2020 at 12:22 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 18 080 158 confirmed cases
• 320 551 deaths
• 6 298 082 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 1 930 811
2. Texas: 1 605 658
3. Florida: 1 212 581
4. Illinois: 905 069
5. New York: 857 049

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 36 568 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 25 941 deaths, and California with 22 929.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 279 067 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 454 354 recoveries and Tennessee with 438 036.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 29 860 404 people tested, followed by New York with 23 474 668 people tested, and Florida with 14 728 047 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 77 667 963 confirmed cases, 1 709 295 deaths, and 43 846 893 recoveries.
