How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?
According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, April 21, 2020 at 10:38 AM, there have been:
• 2 501 156 confirmed cases
• 171 810 deaths
• 659 732 recoveries
The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 788 920 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 204 178 cases and Italy with 181 228 cases.
The US now also leads in number of confirmed deaths (42 458), followed by Italy (24 114) and Spain (21 282). Germany leads in recoveries with 95 200 people who have recovered, followed by Spain with 82 514 recoveries and China with 77 799.
How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?
As previously stated, there are now 788 920 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 42 458 deaths and 73 533 recoveries.
The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:
1. New York: 253 400
2. New Jersey: 88 806
3. Massachusetts: 39 643
4. Pennsylvania: 34 005
5. California: 33 866
New York City, New York still has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 14 604 reported fatalities, followed by Nassau, New York with 1329 deaths and Wayne, Michigan with 1148.
