10 States with the Highest Percentage of Population Fully Vaccinated

Article

Maine currently leads the country in percentage of population fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Wherever you practice primary care, please keep the vaccine conversation going.

According to the Center for Disease Control's data tracker, as of April 25, 2021, Maine has fully vaccinated the highest percentage of its population against COVID-19; Alabama currently has fully vaccinated the lowest percentage.

The CDC calculates that as of 6 am on April 25, 94 772 329 Americans had been fully vaccinated, which translates to 28.5% of the population in the 50 states and DC.

The slides below present the top 10 (and also the bottom 5) states as they currently rank on this important metric. The CDC encourages primary care clinicians to keep the dialogue open with their patients who may be undecided about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Personal physicians remain the most trusted source of information about the vaccines.
