Expert to Clinicians on Mental Health: “We are Never Trapped”

Video

Rebekah Bernard, MD, family physician and national speaker on physician wellness shares 3 pieces of advice on connecting with colleagues again.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, however, there are now opportunities for individuals to gather together again as public settings have mostly done away with strict social distancing measures. For clinicians, society meetings are being held in person once again and lounge areas in hospitals and clinical practices may be getting utilized more as communal spaces. "We're starting to have those opportunities to gather together, it's really time for us to start stepping out and taking advantage of time to meet with our friends, with our colleagues," said Rebekah Bernard, MD, family physician and national speaker on physician wellness and practice management. In a recent interview with Patient Care Online, Dr Bernard shares 3 pieces of advice for clinicians on connecting with colleagues and caring for their own mental wellbeing.

Rebekah Bernard, MD, is a family physician and owner of Gulf Coast Direct Primary Care in Fort Myers, Florida.
