Exploring Screening and Real-World Use of Teplizumab: Practical Insights and Clinical Experiences

Opinion
Video

Experts on type 1 diabetes discuss the availability of local medical facilities that offer teplizumab screening and evaluation services for individuals at risk of progression of disease.

The following is a summary of the video transcript and has been edited for length and clarity.
Goldman: In terms of where infusions are being done, where are you sending your patients?

Shenkman: Right now, we're using a couple of local infusion centers. We are also exploring other options, like either home health or partial home health, where the patient starts treatment in an infusion center for the first few days to be monitored, and then the remainder is done through home health. A lot depends on whether there is space available 14 days in a row.
