Article

WalletHub recently compared the most populated US cities to see which ones prioritize residents’ well-being. Find out which areas ranked healthiest and unhealthiest.

A person's place of residence can have an impact on their overall health. Some areas promote healthy lifestyles by expanding access to nutritious food or maintaining public parks, whereas other areas might not. To find out which cities prioritize residents' health and wellbeing, WalletHub recently compared 182 US cities—including the 150 most populated cities—across 4 dimensions: Health care, food, fitness, and green space. These dimensions were evaluated using 44 relevant metrics, including premature death rate, cost of medical visits, share of residents who say they eat healthy, share of obese residents, walking trails per capita, weight-loss centers per capita, and more.

Which cities were found to be healthy and which ones are falling behind? Find out in the slides below.
