US COVID-19 mortalities have surpassed 600 000. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map and the CDC.

How many people in the US have been vaccinated against COVID-19?

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of today, June 15, 2021, at 1:46 PM, EDT:

• 52.6% of total US population has received at least 1 dose
• 43.9% of total US population is fully vaccinated

The 5 states with the highest percentage of population fully vaccinated are:

1. Vermont: 62.7%
2. Maine: 58.7%
3. Massachusetts: 58.3%
4. Connecticut: 57.6%
5. Rhode Island: 55.7%

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, June 15, 2021 at 2:22 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 33 478 513 confirmed cases
• 600 039 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 803 374
2. Texas: 2 978 357
3. Florida: 2 344 321
4. New York: 2 109 677
5. Illinois: 1 387 679

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 63 195 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 53 558, and Texas with 51 940.

Globally, there have been 176 386 418 confirmed cases, 3 814 371 deaths, and 2 397 324 414 vaccine doses administered.
