How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 22, 2021 at 9:26 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 819 314 confirmed cases
• 542 359 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 641 105
2. Texas: 2 754 616
3. Florida: 2 008 349
4. New York: 1 782 769
5. Illinois: 1 221 775

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 57 505 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 426, and Texas with 47 346.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 52 250 830 people tested, followed by New York with 42 798 540 people tested, and Florida with 23 357 150 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 123 302 986 confirmed cases, 2 716 829 deaths, and 69 898 669 recoveries.
