How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 18, 2021 at 9:25 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 608 410 confirmed cases
• 538 096 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 631 320
2. Texas: 2 742 417
3. Florida: 1 989 024
4. New York: 1 761 775
5. Illinois: 1 213 668

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 56 987 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 171, and Texas with 46 827.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 51 460 324 people tested, followed by New York with 41 744 092 people tested, and Florida with 23 080 032 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 121 372 046 confirmed cases, 2 683 059 deaths, and 68 797 030 recoveries.
