According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 17, 2021 at 12:25 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 556 707 confirmed cases
• 537 123 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 628 262
2. Texas: 2 738 135
3. Florida: 1 984 425
4. New York: 1 755 193
5. Illinois: 1 212 014

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 56 796 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 110, and Texas with 46 659.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 51 351 366 people tested, followed by New York with 41 480 691 people tested, and Florida with 23 000 420 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?
