How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 16, 2021 at 1:25 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 512 462 confirmed cases
• 536 068 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 626 253
2. Texas: 2 733 376
3. Florida: 1 979 634
4. New York: 1 751 620
5. Illinois: 1 210 032

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 56 686 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 036, and Texas with 46 533.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 51 263 837 people tested, followed by New York with 41 323 595 people tested, and Florida with 22 930 335 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 120 453 308 confirmed cases, 2 664 973 deaths, and 68 320 135 recoveries.
