According to early estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of September 14, 2021, the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant made up 99.4% of COVID-19 cases in the United States.

The CDC estimates as of September 14, 2021, the 5 states with the highest unweighted proportion of new cases attributed to the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant are:

1. District of Columbia: 99.7%
2. Vermont: 99.5%
3. Minnesota: 99.1%
4. Pennsylvania: 99.1%
5. New Hampshire: 99.1%

How many people in the US have been vaccinated against COVID-19?

According to the CDC as of today, September 15, 2021, at 3:47 PM, EDT:

• 63.4% of total US population has received at least 1 dose
• 54.1% of total US population is fully vaccinated
