According to early estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of July 20, 2021, the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant makes up 83.2% of COVID-19 cases in the United States.

The CDC estimates as of July 27, 2021, the 5 states with the highest unweighted proportion of new cases attributed to the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant are:

1. Missouri: 90.3%
2. Nevada: 71.4%
3. Colorado: 66.9%
4. California: 56.8%
5. New Jersey: 56.6%


How many people in the US have been vaccinated against COVID-19?

According to the CDC as of today, July 30, 2021, at 5:00 PM, EDT:

• 57.1% of total US population has received at least 1 dose
• 49.3% of total US population is fully vaccinated

The 5 states with the highest percentage of population fully vaccinated are:

1. Vermont: 67.44%
2. Massachusetts: 63.75%
3. Maine: 63.39%
