How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, February 8, 2021 at 10:39 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 27 009 599 confirmed cases
• 463 483 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 417 982
2. Texas: 2 495 251
3. Florida: 1 777 983
4. New York: 1 480 244
5. Illinois: 1 146 346

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 44 839 reported fatalities, followed by California with 44 155, and Texas with 39 331.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 091 113 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 824 080 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 735 763.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 43 235 327 people tested, followed by New York with 32 782 663 people tested, and Florida with 19 474 886 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 106 235 789 confirmed cases, 2 319 104 deaths, and 59 254 032 recoveries.
