How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 16, 2020 at 9:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 6 606 998 confirmed cases
• 195 962 deaths
• 2 495 127 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 768 763
2. Texas: 692 753
3. Florida: 668 846
4. New York: 445 714
5. Georgia: 296 994

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 038 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 16 043 deaths, and California with 14 616.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 585 912 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 167 257 recoveries and Tennessee with 158 660.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 12 928 170 people tested, followed by New York with 9 455 329 people tested, and Texas with 5 247 542 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 29 616 346 confirmed cases, 936 001 deaths, and 20 114 603 recoveries.
