How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, February 5, 2021 at 10:23 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 26 681 420 confirmed cases
• 455 882 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 382 932
2. Texas: 2 463 967
3. Florida: 1 752 330
4. New York: 1 450 912
5. Illinois: 1 137 559

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 44 298 reported fatalities, followed by California with 43 125 deaths, and Texas with 38 459.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 037 888 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 806 397 recoveries and Pennsylvania with 719 868.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 43 235 327 people tested, followed by New York with 32 782 663 people tested, and Florida with 19 474 886 people tested.

Globally, there have been 105 006 686 confirmed cases, 2 287 372 deaths, and 58 419 479 recoveries.
