How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, December 8, 2020 at 9:26 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 14 958 789 confirmed cases
• 283 874 deaths
• 5 714 557 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 1 395 949
2. Texas: 1 332 358
3. Florida: 1 065 785
4. Illinois: 796 264
5. New York: 713 129

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 35 034 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 23 186 deaths, and California with 20 055.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 038 806 people who have recovered, followed by Tennessee with 362 818 recoveries and Wisconsin with 352 510.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 25 493 351 people tested, followed by New York with 20 746 981 people tested, and Florida with 13 175 860 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 67 767 138 confirmed cases, 1 548 094 deaths, and 43 647 929 recoveries.
