How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, August 6, 2020 at 10:35 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 4 826 861 confirmed cases
• 158 321 deaths
• 1 577 851 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 530 606
2. Florida: 502 739
3. Texas: 477 168
4. New York: 418 225
5. Georgia: 201 713

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 754 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 842 deaths, and California with 9808.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 315 652 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 105 093 recoveries and Massachusetts with 99 021.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 8 409 400 people tested, followed by New York with 6 226 435 people tested, and Texas with 3 908 235 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 18 851 834 confirmed cases, 708 540 deaths, and 11 394 076 recoveries.
