How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, August 12, 2020 at 11:27 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 5 151 369 confirmed cases
• 164 690 deaths
• 1 714 960 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 586 470
2. Florida: 550 901
3. Texas: 518 152
4. New York: 422 003
5. Georgia: 222 588

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 787 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 890 deaths, and California with 10 656.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 358 312 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 116 969 recoveries and Massachusetts with 99 021.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 9 186 279 people tested, followed by New York with 6 640 705 people tested, and Texas with 4 088 863 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 20 391 697 confirmed cases, 744 211 deaths, and 12 624 538 recoveries.
