How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?
According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 25, 2020 at 9:46 AM, there have been:
China still leads with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 81 661 total cases to date, followed by Italy with 69 176 cases and the US with 55 243 cases.
Italy currently has the highest number of confirmed deaths (6820), followed by Spain (3434) and Hubei province in China (3163). Hubei province, however, also leads in recoveries with 60 811 people who have recovered since the outbreak began in December.
How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?
As previously stated, there have been 55 243 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as of today as well as 802 deaths and 354 recoveries.
The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:
1. New York: 26 376
2. New Jersey: 3675
3. California: 2628
4. Washington: 2472
5. Michigan: 1793
New York also has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 192 reported fatalities, followed by King, Washington with 94 deaths.
