How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?
According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 5, 2020 at 9:32 AM, there have been:
• 249 712 deaths
• 1 144 454 recoveries
The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 181 885 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 218 011 cases and Italy with 211 938 cases.
The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (68 934), followed by Italy (29 079) and the United Kingdom (28 809). The US now also leads in recoveries with 187 180 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 135 100 recoveries and Spain with 121 343.
