How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, June 17, 2020 at 11:33 AM, there have been:

• 2 141 276 confirmed cases
• 117 030 deaths
• 583 503 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 384 575
2. New Jersey: 167 426
3. California: 159 184
4. Illinois: 133 639
5. Massachusetts: 105 885

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 30 909 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 12 792 deaths, and Massachusetts with 7664.

New York also leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 68 938 people who have recovered, followed by New Jersey with 28 872 recoveries and Pennsylvania with 59 612.

New York also leads in number of patients tested with 3 051 778 people tested, followed by California with 2 937 755 people tested, and Florida with 1 460 309 people tested.

Globally, there have been 8 214 571 confirmed cases, 444 853 deaths, and 3 983 649 recoveries.
