How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, July 8, 2020 at 10:33 AM, there have been:

• 2 996 679 confirmed cases
• 131 486 deaths
• 936 476 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 398 237
2. California: 284 139
3. Texas: 216 026
4. Florida: 213 794
5. New Jersey: 173 878

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 243 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 281 deaths, and Massachusetts with 8213.

Massachusetts now leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 93 157 people who have recovered, followed by New York with 71 091 recoveries and Pennsylvania with 70 437.

California leads in number of patients tested with 4 896 370 people tested, followed by New York with 4 344 867 people tested, and Florida with 2 269 194 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 11 865 335 confirmed cases, 544 949 deaths, and 6 483 402 recoveries.
