Slideshow

These 11 studies of cardiovascular and metabolic disease prevention, assessment, and treatment were top trending topics on Patient Care in the first half of 2022.

The poor quality of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic health in the US is raising deep concern among physician researchers who published evidence in June that CV health among 80% of adults ranks as only low or moderate using the American Heart Association's new Life's Essential Eight composite score and that <7% of the population has optimal cardiometaboic health based on a separate and novel study that assessed 5 key components of the measure.

Those 2 studies and 9 more make up the selection that follows in our slide show of research findings that drew the greatest attention on Patient Care® in the first half of 2022.
