How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?
According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, April 10, 2020 at 9:27 AM, there have been:
The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 466 396 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 157 022 cases and Italy with 143 626 cases.
Italy has the highest number of confirmed deaths (18 279), followed by Spain (15 843) and France (12 210). China leads in recoveries with 77 787 people who have recovered, followed by Spain with 55 668 recoveries and Germany with 52 407.
How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?
As previously stated, there are now 466 396 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 16 703 deaths and 26 522 recoveries.
The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:
1. New York: 161 807
2. New Jersey: 51 027
3. Michigan: 21 504
4. California: 20 223
5. Massachusetts: 18 941
New York also has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with >5000 reported fatalities, followed by Wayne, Michigan with 504 deaths.
